HomeMy Public PortalAbout080-1995 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1995 BUDGET - PORDINANCE NO. 80-1995 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1995 BUDGET WHEREAS Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, adopted a budget for calendar year 1995, and WHEREAS it is possible to authorize additional appropriations pursuant to Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-5, and WHEREAS it is desirable to appropriate money in the Parks and Recreation Fund, the Parking Meter Fund, and the Economic Development Income Tax Fund from cash balances in the respective funds that have not been appropriated, and WHEREAS a legally advertised public hearing was conducted the 6th day of November, 1995, pursuant to Indiana Code 5-3-1-2 (b), NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of Richmond, Indiana, that the 1995 budget be amended as follows, to wit: A. Add $40,000.00 for Buildings and Fixed Equipment in the Parks and Recreation Fund New account number 219-39-390-3901-4-4210 B . Add $2,802.00 for Improvement Other Buildings in the Parking Meter Fund New account number 604-56-560-5601-4-4300 Passed and adopted this 6th day of November, 1995, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana. <7""/' esident Sarah L. MILLIGAN City Attorney Dear Council Member: This ordinance appropriates money in the Parks and Recreation Fund for buildings and equipment. This ordinance also appropriates money in the Parking Meter Fund for building improvements. This ordinance also appropriates money in the Economic Development Income Tax Fund for street improvements. Due to the fact that this is an Additional Appropriation, a public hearing has been advertised, as required by state statute, for your November 6th meeting. This ordinance can be adopted in a single meeting on two motions to suspend rules since the advertised public hearing will take place on first reading. Sincerely, > Thomas S.
