A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 5390 NEW
PARIS PIKE
WHEREAS the zoning map designates real estate at 5390 New Paris Pike as A-1
Agricultural District, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to C-2 Commercial
District to accommodate business development,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation at 5390 New Paris Pike, which is Auditor's Map No.
4G 25-000 307 000-15, be and is hereby changed to C-2 Commercial District,

Passed and adopted this 4th day of December, 1995, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.

This ordinance is a rezoning of approximately 30 acres on the south side of New Paris Pike
in Wayne Township outside the corporate limits of the City from A-1 Agricultural District
to C-2 Commercial District to accommodate any of the uses permitted in the C-2 District.
The property is owned by Ernst Ready Mix, Inc.
The ordinance should be referred to Plan Commission for public hearing at its meeting on
November 28, 1995.
The ordinance could be back to Council for second reading on December 4, 1995.

Dear Ms. Hutton:
Please advise the members of Common Council that the Richmond Advisory Plan
Commission conducted a public hearing, Tuesday, November 28, 1995, on the
petition of Ernst Ready Mix, Inc., owner; Robert G. Burton, agent; requesting a
rezoning from A-1 Agricultural District to C-2 Commercial District at 5390 S. R. 121,
Richmond, Indiana.
Notices were delivered to thirteen surrounding property owners, with three
comments in favor returned to this office. In addition, two persons in attendance
spoke in favor of the request.
The Plan Commission voted 10 in favor, with 1 absent, to recommend the passage
of Ordinance No. 82-1995.
