A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING THE
STREET REHABILITATION, SEWER REPAIR, AND WATER MAIN UPGRADE FOR LOUISE
AVENUE (CIP NO. 4011.67.912) AS COMPLETE; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE
NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE AND
THE RELEASE OF THE 5% RETENTION 35 DAYS AFTER THE RECORDATION; AND
AUTHORIZING THE REIMBURSEMENT OF 2017 LEASE REVENUE BONDS (FUND 9053)
WITH MEASURE M BONDS (FUND 2357)
WHEREAS, November 6, 2018, the City awarded a contract to Sully-Miller
Contracting Company in the amount of $1,553,000.00 for the construction of Louise
Avenue Street, Sewer, and Water Improvement Project No. 4011.67.912; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Street, Sewer, and Water Improvement Project
started on January 2, 2019 and was completed on April 11, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded with 2017 Lease Revenue Bonds
($617,500.54) to be later reimbursed by Measure M Bonds (Fund 2357); Measure R
Bonds (Fund 9054) ($517,251); Water Fund ($776,684.67) and Sewer Fund (78,945.79);
and
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2018, the City Council approved the use of the 2017
Lease Revenue Bonds to be later reimbursed by Measure M Bonds once received; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $1,585.632.40, which includes seventeen
(17) contract change orders in the amount of$247,302.90 for additional work and for final
reconciliation of quantities; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on May 2, 2019 and
found that all work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Louise
Avenue Street, Sewer, and Water Improvement Project No.4011.67.912 as complete in
accordance with contract documents and authorizes the Director of Public Works to
process the recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 2. That 2017 Lease Revenue Fund (Fund 9053) be reimbursed by
Measure M Bonds (Fund 2357) pursuant to Resolution 2018.199).
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
