A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE GRANT OF EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works was contacted by Southern California
Edison requesting the City to grant a six-foot wide easement across Lynwood Park to
facilitate the installment of a new underground cable to serve the adjacent School District
property; and
WHEREAS, Staff reviewed the request to make sure there were no conflicts to
existing or proposed City facilities; and
WHEREAS, Southern California Edison has agreed to pay a one-time fee of
$1,000 to cover the cost of processing the request.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the grant of easement to Southern
California Edison for a six-foot wide easement across Lynwood Park and authorizes the
Mayor to execute the Grant of Easement attached hereto as Exhibit B.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designee to
sign documents to facilitate this easement.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 2019.
