received regarding the Village's Police Department for providing courteous community
service.
The positive compliment letter has been attached for your review.

Appreciation for assistance provided during the power outage of Saturday June 24th
On the evening of Saturday, June 24th, the failure of an FP&L primary feeder line created a serious
problem for the Bal Harbour Shops. We lost some of our lighting in the common areas of the Center,
including our garage and front parking lot.
As soon as this happened, the Bal Harbour Police Department began a constant patrol of our parking
garage and Front parking lot using their emergency flashers and spot lights to provide much needed
illumination. In our front parking lot, your officers used their spot lights to help illuminate the path for
customers to safely reach their vehicles. This level of support continued for the duration, until power
was fully restored to the Bal Harbour Shops.
We are very grateful for your assistance during this emergency. Our success on this date was in no small
part due to the timely and capable response of the Bal Harbour Police Department.
