THOMAS S. MILLIGAN
City Attorney
The Indiana Gas Company has donated 87 lineal feet of carbon steel pipe to the City for use
as a drainage pipe in the Retention Pond at the Glen Miller Golf Course. This material has
a value of $970.00.
The 452nd Bomb Group Association of World War 11 veterans has donated a print of the
painting "Flak Dodgers" which depicts three B-17 Flying Fortresses in combat. The
painting will be displayed at the Richmond Municipal Airport. We are indebted to John
Witte, 40 South 16th Street, Richmond, for making arrangements for this gift.
The acceptance of gifts by ordinance constitutes the appropriation of such property for the
intended purposes and fulfills the State Board of Accounts regulations as well as provides
well -deserved recognition for the donors.
This ordinance can be passed in a single meeting upon suspension of rules to advance to
second and third readings.
Sincerely,
Thomas S. Milligan
City Attorney
