Subject: Parking Transponders for the Bal Harbour Shops
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you instructions from the Bal
Harbour Shops regarding their parking transponders which were issued to Village officials
in accordance with the Police Department lease renewal.
Attached is the e-mail correspondence from the Shops with instructions.

Jorge,
I understand that there may be issues with some of the transponders which we have given to the village as part of the
police department lease. Please notify any individuals having issues, whether ingoing or outgoing or both, that they
need to schedule a meeting with Gary Kessler (copied here) our head of parking at Bal Harbour Shops. It is common that
specific location of transponders and potential interference with SunPass can cause issues of them working
properly. Gary and his staff should be able to assist in finding the proper transponder location or issue a new one in
case it isn’t working (they do fail occasionally as well).
