9801 Collins Avenue
Comments:
Bal Harbour police officers were summoned to the Bal Moral condominium regarding a suspicious person sitting on a
bench in front of the building. After locating the person and conducting a brief inquiry, the officers determined the

Missing Child / Recovery
9703 Collins Avenue, St. Regis Hotel
Comments:
The Bal Harbour police communications section received a call from the St. Regis security staff advising of a missing
six -year -old boy. Officers responded and met with the child's distressed parents who advised the child had been
missing for about 15 minutes. The family is on vacation from Turkey and the child is not familiar with the area. Bal
Harbour police officers initiated a Missing Child protocol and requested assistance from our surrounding agencies,
Miami Dade Aviation, St. Regis staff and Bal Harbour Shops security personnel. Although the family believed that the
child had wondered away as they walked towards the Bal Harbour Shops, officers located the boy safely inside his
hotel room. Further investigation and interviews of the family revealed that there was no foul play involved. All officers
and resources returned to their normal patrol functions.
