Subject: Unscripted Bal Harbour Art Tour and Talk - Carrie Schneider's "Reading
Women"
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of an upcoming event through Unscripted Bal
Harbour:
On Sunday, November 19, an Unscripted Bal Harbour Art Tour and Talk event will take
place at the Ritz -Carlton Bal Harbour. Guests will be treated to a cocktail hour followed by
a talk by artist Carrie Schneider and curator Kendra Paitz about the advocacy of their
project Reading Women with a screening of their accompanying film which is being
screened at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).
In addition, the official unveiling of the art exhibit will occur with an accompanying tour on
the beach path.
This exhibit will be on view on the beach path until February 28, 2018 and is presented in
collaboration with the Miami Book Fair.

"Reading Women" celebrates creative women in a series
of photographic portraits of women writers, musicians and
artists, and details of the books they are reading by select
women authors. Join artist Carrie Schneider and curator
Kendra Paitz as they talk about the advocacy of this two-year
long project, its accompanying film, as well as Schneider's
performative and collaborative practice.
"Reading Women" is on view on Bal Harbour's beach walk at
99th street and 102nd street until February 28, 2018, and is
presented in collaboration with University Galleries of Illinois
State University and The Miami Book Fair.
