The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you a positive compliment
received regarding several officers in the Village's Police Department for providing
professional training and service to follow law enforcement officials.
The positive compliment letter from the resident has been attached for your review.
Join me in recognizing Detective Hector Gonzalez and Sergeant Edwin Vargas for their
hard work in promoting a positive community -oriented Police Department.

Dear sirs,
My name is Zalman Lekach, resident at 110 Camden Dr.
I just wanted to tell you of the incredible job detectives Vargas and
Gonzalez from Bal Harbour did in case F 17021532
(aggravated harassment against my wife, Victoria, and my step son).
After repeated threats from her ex husband, the officers were meticulous
in their work, but also counseled my wife, and played with our son to
calm him down. Thanks to them and the other officers that came, they
were able to sleep that night and the ex husband spent the night in jail.
They are great cops but more importantly, they are amazing people.
They truly take their job and service very seriously.
