The first warning was issued to the One Bal Harbour property after a contractor was observed working on a driveway concrete restoration project. The second warning was issued to the Bal Harbour Tower property after they were also observed performing work on a driveway project. The contractors involved were unware of the restriction on working hours and days. The work was stopped and the contractors left the jobsites. Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report Comments: The Criminal Investigations Division developed probable cause for arrests in two ongoing fraud investigations. Detectives subsequently authored an arrest warrant for each investigation and forwarded them to the Miami -Dade State Attorney's Office for review. 2 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT MIGUEL DE LA ROSA Chief of Police Weekly Summary Report Noteworthy Incidents / Arrests Date Incident Type Location 11/17/2017 Theft 9703 Collins Ave, St. Regis COMMENTS Bal Harbour police were summoned to the St. Regis regarding a theft, when the officers arrived, they met with the victim who alleged a housekeeper removed money from his room. Officers attempted to contact the housekeeper however, she had already completed her shift and left for the day. The criminal investigations division will continue the investigation. Date Incident Type Location 11/18/2017 Citizen Assist 170 Bal Four Drive COMMENTS While on routine patrol in the gated community, a Bal Harbour police officer discovered an unsecured open door at the residence. The door was not damaged and led to the pool cabana and not to the main part of the home. After contacting the owner of the residence the door was secured. Date Incident Type Location 11/19/2017 Theft 10225 Collins Avenue, Bellini COMMENTS A resident reported that she discovered her watch missing after receiving a Spa treatment from an independent therapist. The watch was entered into a National Crime Information Center and the Bal Harbour criminal investigation unit was notified. Date Incident Type Location 11/21/2017 Traffic Enforcement Collins Avenue COMMENTS In an effort to identify speeding vehicles on the Collins Avenue corridor, Bal Harbour officers are conducting random speed and traffic enforcement along with a pedestrian awareness initiative. Bal Harbour officers will continue this traffic enforcement initiative throughout the holiday season 3 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT s -6'-CFA6' p la ,O: R4O \ sic MIGUEL DE LA ROSA Chief of Police Weekly Summary Report Date Incident Type Location 11/22/2017 Motor Vehicle Accident 600 Block of 96 St COMMENTS The Bal Harbour police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. It was discovered that a commercial vehicle came into contact with a green, in -ground cable box located in the grass area south of the municipal parking lot. A Parks & Public Spaces employee responded and determined that no damage or interruption to services had occurred.
