Bal Harbour Police Department that I requested in order to enhance the flow of
communication and transparency.

Weekly Code Enforcement Efforts
Comments:
The code enforcement unit issued six warnings within the gated community this week. The first warning was issued to
a construction site for an appearance code issue. The second warning was issued to a residential property also for
appearance issues regarding the landscaping and upkeep of the home. The remaining four warning were issued to
residential properties for leaving bulk waste out several days prior to the scheduled pick-up day of Thursday.
Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report
Comments:
The Criminal Investigations Division assembled a team of officers to conduct a pro -active burglary detail. Officers
assigned to the detail conducted undercover operations in an effort to identify and apprehend individuals engaged in
criminal activity. The detail will continue throughout the holidays.

COMMENTS
Bal Harbour police were summoned to 190 Park Drive regarding damage to an irrigation control box. When the officers
arrived, they discovered that an FPL truck working in the area accidently struck the irrigation control box. Parks &
Public Spaces was contacted and repaired the damaged box. No injuries or other damages were reported.

COMMENTS
Bal Harbour police were contacted by a resident regarding several individuals who arrived in the area wearing tactical
attire. Bal Harbour officers arrived, however, the individuals left prior to the officers' arrival. It was later determined the
individuals who arrived at the location were officers with another agency on official police business.

COMMENTS
A Bal Harbour officer observed a suspicious male loitering along the fence line on the southwest side of the Bal Harbour
Shops. As the male observed the officer, he ran south through the parking lot. The Bal Harbour officer pursued the
male and with the assistance of other Bal Harbour officers, apprehended the male in the Town of Bay Harbor Islands'
jurisdiction. The male was charged accordingly, arrested and transported to jail. No criminal activity or damages were
reported.

Assist Miami - Dade Police Department
NW 32 Avenue and 79 Street
COMMENTS
Pursuant to a county -wide request from Miami -Dade police, Bal Harbour police provided emergency police assistance
to Miami -Dade police regarding a Miami -Dade officer involved shooting. Bal Harbour officers arrived at the crime scene,
however, all perimeter points were covered and Miami -Dade police did not require further assistance. The Bal Harbour
officers returned and resumed normal patrol functions.
