Weekly Code Enforcement Efforts
Comments:
The code enforcement unit issued a total of six warnings within the gated community this week. The first three warnings
were issued to residential properties who had left bulk waste out for pick-up several days prior to the scheduled pick-
up day of Thursday. There was a warning issued to a residential apartment building for the maintenance and
appearance of an exterior wall. A warning was also issued to a construction site for the maintenance of their safety
fencing. The final warning was issued to a residential property for having an obstructed water meter which prevented
Village personnel from obtaining a reading.
Additionally, two warnings were issued to businesses within the Bal Harbour Shops who have failed to renew their
Business Tax Receipt (BTR) as required by Village Code.
Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report
Comments
The Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating a theft that occurred in the Bal Harbour Shops, through a
unified effort with other agencies, detectives cultivated leads that resulted in the positive identification of the subject.
Detectives are now attempting to locate and arrest the subject.

COMMENTS
While patrolling the 96 Street corridor, a Bal Harbour police officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorist who committed
a traffic infraction, during the traffic stop, the officer discovered the driver was in possession of illegal narcotics. The
driver was placed under arrest for felony possession of narcotics and transported to jail.

65 Camden Court
COMMENTS
Bal Harbour police were summoned to 65 Camden Court regarding a theft, when the officer arrived, the victim told the
officer she noticed some precious items were missing from her home. The officer on scene determined there were no
signs of forced entry. The criminal investigation unit responded and is presently pursuing active leads.

Found Firearm
102000 Block Haulover Inlet
A contractor conducting repairs to the seawall contacted Bal Harbour police regarding a firearm he retrieved from the
water near the Haulover Bridge. The arriving officers inspected the firearm, however, the firearm was in poor
condition and the serial numbers were illegible. The firearm was secured and placed in the Bal Harbour police
department property room.
