Re: Ordinance 17-1992
Dear Mr.Elstro, Members of Common Council and
Mrs. Carnes:
The Richmond Advisory Plan Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday,
April 28,1992 on the petition of Leon and Joseph H. and Belle C. Gilbert, owners;
Rhett Baumgartner, agent, requesting a rezoning from R-3 One to Eight Family
Residence District to C-4 General Business District to allow office and
warehouse space for a contractor on property located at 425 and 427 Northwest
L Street.
Nine (9) notices were sent to surrounding property owners. One (1) was
returned in favor of the petition, none in oppositon. A petition in favor of
this request was signed by seven (7) neighborhood business and residential
property owners.
Planning Staff recommended approval of the request siting the request was
in compliance with the Master Plan and a natural continuation of the existing
General Business District.
The Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the
petition to Common Council.
