HomeMy Public PortalAbout017-1992- AMENDING CH `54 KNOWN AS ZONING ORDINANCEORDINANCE NO. 17-1992 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE RICHMOND CODE, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Zoning Map designates the Use District, and located at 425 and 427 , Indiana as R-3 Special WHEREAS, it is desirable to change the zoning district to C-4 General Business District for said area, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning classification of 425 and 427 Northwest L Street, more particularly described as the west part of Official Map Tract N�o�.- 8,, is hereby changed to C-4 General Business District. Gilbert, owners; Rhett Baumgartner, agent, requesting a rezoning from R-3 One to Eight Family Residence District to C-4 General Business District to allow office and warehouse space for a contractor on property located at 425 and 427 Northwest L Street. Nine (9) notices were sent to surrounding property owners. One (1) was returned in favor of the petition, none in oppositon. A petition in favor of this request was signed by seven (7) neighborhood business and residential property owners. Planning Staff recommended approval of the request siting the request was in compliance with the Master Plan and a natural continuation of the existing General Business District.
