A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE RICHMOND
CODE, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map designates the east side of the 1100 block of North
12th Street, Richmond, Indiana, as 0-1 Greenbelt District, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to change the zoning district to C-4 General Business
District for said area,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the zoning classification of the area more particularly described below is hereby changed to C-
4 General Business District, to -wit:
A part of the northwest quarter of section 33, township 14, Range 1 west,
beginning at a stone at the east side of North 12th Street, which stone is
distant south 88.25 degrees east 18.78 rods from, the northwest corner of
Tract No. 415 of the Official Map of the City of Richmond; thence north 21
degrees east 15.67 feet to a stone; thence north 88.25 degrees east 86.79
feet; thence south 4.50 degrees west 198 feet; thence westward 158 feet
more or less to the east line of said pike at the south end of a cement coping
or culvert; thence north 21 degrees east 170.33 feet to the place of
beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of May, 1992, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.

Dear Mr.Eistro, Members of Common Council and
Mrs. Carnes:
The Richmond Advisory Plan Commission conducted a public hearing on
Tuesday, April 28,1992 on the petition of Joseph and Sara Ombrello,
owners, requesting a rezoning from 0-1 Greenbelt District to C-4 General
Business District to allow outside display of motor vehicles on property
located at 1133 North 12th Street.
Two (2) notices were sent to surrounding property owners. None were
returned in favor or in oppositon to the petition. Planning Staff
recommended approval of the request siting that the request was in
keeping with the spirit of the Master Plan which calls for this area to
be a business classification rather than Green -belt.
Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval to
Common Council.
