DUNCAN AVENUE STREET AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. (CIP :NO.
= . 4011.67:907) AS COMPLETE, AUTHORIZING. THE E•FILING OF THE. NOTICE: OF
COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE AND THE : =
RELEASE OF THE 10% RETENTION 35DAYS AFTER THE RECORDATION.. :
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2018, the City awarded the contract to the lowest
responsible, bidder, .All:American' Asphalt, in-the ..amount of $1,137,855,78 for the
- construction of the Project; and. :
WHEREAS, : the ' construction of the Duncan Avenue " Street . and . Water
Improvement Project started onDecember 14, 2018.. The.Project was completed on.July. .
1, 2019; and . : =
WHEREAS, the-project-was.funded with $232,394.75. of Measure R Bonds (Fund -
2353), $408,183.39 of.LUA 2017 Bond (Fund 6302):, $75,262.00 of Water Fund (6051), .
$121,634-81 of Measure M (Fund 2350),:and $668,639.51" Measure R (Fund 2352);.and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost.is $1,133,204.46, which includes nine (9).
contract change .Orders in the.total 'amount of $159,887.62 for additional:work and bid
quantities; and.
• WHEREAS, the "final.inspection was conducted on July 23, 2019.and found that
:all work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications,
NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM;-ORDER,AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: • .
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City_of Lynwood accepts: the=

complete in accordance with contract "documents and authorizes. the Director of
Public Works to process the recordation of the Notice Of:Completion:

RESOLUTION NO. 2019.092
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING
DUNCAN AVENUE STREET AND WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP NO.
4011.67.907) AS COMPLETE; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF
COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE AND THE
RELEASE OF THE 10%o RETENTION 35 DAYS AFTER THE RECORDATION.
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2018, the City awarded the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder, All American Asphalt, in the amount of $1,137,855.78 for the
construction of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Duncan Avenue Street and Water
Improvement Project started on December 14, 2018. The Project was completed on July
1, 2019; and
•
WHEREAS, the project was funded with $232,394.75 of Measure R Bonds (Fund
2353), $408,183.39 of LUA 2017 Bond (Fund 6302), $75,262.00 Of Water Fund (6051),
$121,634.81 of Measure M (Fund 2350), and $668,639.51 Measure R (Fund 2352); and
•
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $1,133,204.46, which includes nine (9)
contract change orders in the total amount of $159,887.62 for additional work and bid
quantities; and
WHEREAS, the final inspection was conducted on July 23, 2019 and found that
all work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the
Duncan Avenue, Street and Water Improvement Project No.4011.67.907 as
complete in accordance with contract documents and authorizes the Director Of
Public Works to process the recordation of the Notice of Completion.
SC_TION. 2. Staff is authorized to withhold payments to contractor for
labor compliance issues.
SECTION_3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its.adoption.
SECTION-4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
