A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION OF
A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS the City of Richmond, Indiana was awarded a community FOCUS Fund grant by
the Indiana Department of Commerce for the purpose of administering the Infill
Housing Program, and
WHEREAS said grant proposed the purchase of ten pre -manufactured or modular homes at a
total cost of $300,000.00, and
WHEREAS the City of Richmond, Indiana has determined that it is not feasible to build ten such
homes as originally projected, and
WHEREAS the Community Development Block Grant guidelines require submission of a
modification of the grant application when the scope of the project changes,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the Department of Administration is authorized to submit a modification of the
community FOCUS Fund grant application for a project consisting of seven or eight modular
homes at a total cost of $330,000.00 which.provides that all funds in excess of $300,000.00 be
provided from local sources including program income and recaptured grant funds for the
purpose of administering the Infill Housing Program in accordance with the grant agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1992, by the Common Council of the City of
