Subject: Unscripted Bal Harbour Public Art - Robert Chamber's "Rotorelief"
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of an upcoming event through Unscripted Bal
Harbour:
On Thursday, January 25, an Unscripted Bal Harbour will host a friends and family cocktail
reception at Founders' Circle to unveil Robert Chamber's "Rotorelief." Appearing as if had
landed in the Village, "Rotorelief' is a functioning helicopter with propeller blades that have
been replaced by a spinning disc referencing the work of Marcel Duchamp's Anemic
Cinema.
In addition, the official unveiling of the art exhibit will occur with an accompanying tour on
the beach path.
This exhibit will be on view until November 2018 and is exhibited in loving memory of
Martin Taplin.

Join us for a friends and family cocktail reception unveiling
Robert Chamber's public artwork "Rotorelief," on loan
from the Cricket Taplin collection.
Appearing as if having landed on Bal Harbour's Founders
circle, "Rotorelief" is a functioning helicopter with
propeller blades that have been replaced by a spinning
disc referencing Marcel Duchamp's creation of optical
discs as well as Anemic Cinema, a film comprising
animated drawings of hypnotic spirals Duchamp named
rotoreliefs. The work will be on view until November 2018,
and is exhibited in loving memory of Martin Taplin.
