Subject: Dedication of the Mark N. Overton Fountain in Miami Beach
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of the upcoming dedication of the Mark N.
Overton Fountain at 5:30 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at South Pointe Park (1
Washington Avenue) in Miami Beach.
On February 8, 2017, the City of Miami Beach Commission approved the naming of and
installation of a plaque in honor of the former Village Chief. The dedication ceremony had
been scheduled for October 2017, but was postponed due to the impacts of Hurricane
Irma.
