Home My Public Portal About032-1992- AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE SANITARY LANDFILL.pA GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE RICHMOND SANITARY LANDFILL WHEREAS Section 58.02 of the Richmond Code sets forth user fees for the Richmond Sanitary Landfill, and WHEREAS The Richmond Sanitary Board of Commissioners resolved May 26, 1992, by its Resolution No. 4-1992 to increase certain user fees, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that Section 58.02 of the Richmond Code be amended to read as follows: A. The Landfill shall collect user fees as follows: 1. Construction materials do not have to be disposed of at a sanitary landfill. Residents and non-residents of the Richmond Sanitary District will be charged a fee of $16.50 per ton subject to a minimum fee of $7.50.. 2. The disposal of tires by non-residents of the Richmond Sanitary District is not permitted. The disposal of tires by residents of the Richmond Sanitary District will result in a fee at the following rates: a. Tires weighing 25 pounds or under - $126.50 per ton. b. Tires weighing over 25 pounds but under 75 pounds - $101.25 per ton. c. Tires weighing over 75 pounds - $76.50 per ton. 3. No user fee will be collected from residents of the Richmond Sanitary District for all other solid wastes accepted by the Landfill for disposal. 4. Non-residents of the Richmond Sanitary District will be charged a fee of $26.50 per ton for all other solid wastes accepted by the Landfill for disposal subject to a minimum fee of $7.50. 5. The aforesaid fees include a fee of $1.00 per ton for the Wayne - Union -Randolph Solid Waste Management District and 50 cents per ton for the State of Indiana. B . All fees will be due and payable at the time of disposal unless a monthly billing arrangement is set up in advance with the Richmond Sanitary District.
