EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD ADOPTING
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CAPITAL LEASE FINANCING OF ONE INTERNATIONAL
DUMP/PLOW TRUCK FOR THE BUREAU OF PUBLIC WORKS
At a workshop meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Irondequoit, Monroe County, New York held
at the Town Hall, 1280 Titus Avenue, in said Town of Irondequoit, on the 10th day of May 2022, at 4:00
P.M. local time; there were:

Town Board Member __________offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, it is necessary to finance one (1) new 2022 International dump/plow truck for the Bureau of
Public Works through a capital lease pursuant to General Municipal Law 109-b, consistent with plans in
the 2022 operating budget of the Community Services Department; and
WHEREAS, the authorization to purchase one (1) 2022 International plow/dump truck at a cost of
$245,175.16 was previously provided by Resolution 2021-002; and
WHEREAS, written quotes were received from several firms which provide lease financing with the
lowest cost quote that of ____________________; and
WHEREAS, funding for the 2022 lease payment will be available in account 023.9785.6050.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes capital lease financing for
one (1) new 2022 dump/plow truck for the Bureau of Public Works in the total amount of $_________
with ___________________________.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

ADOPTING A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT
OF THREE (3) FULL TIME SEASONAL LABORERS
At a workshop meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Irondequoit, Monroe County, New
York held at the Town Hall, 1280 Titus Avenue, in said Town of Irondequoit, on the 10th day of
May 2022, at 4:00 P.M. local time: there were

Town Board Member _____________________offered the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
WHEREAS, there is a need to hire seasonal full-time Laborers in the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, these positions are budgeted for in the 2022 Town Budget; and
WHEREAS, these are non-competitive positions, and no civil service examination is necessary
to be eligible for this position; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Works has interviewed several candidates and
recommends hiring Nicholas Falconer, Tyler Rogers and James Andressi for these positions.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board approves the appointment of
Nicholas Falconer, Tyler Rogers and James Andressi as seasonal full time Laborers to be paid an
hourly rate of $15.00 which shall be paid from budget codes 001.7110.0110.1100.7158;
031.8120.0110.1100 and 021.5110.0110.1100 respectively.
This resolution shall take effect on the date of hire.

EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD APPOINTING
INITIAL COMMISSIONERS AND TREASURER TO IRONDEQUOIT FIRE DISTRICT
At the WORKSHOP meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Irondequoit, Monroe County,
New York held at the Town Hall, 1280 Titus Avenue, in said Town of Irondequoit, on the 10th
day of May, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. local time; there were:

Town Board Member______________________offered the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
WHEREAS, the Ridge-Culver Fire District (“Ridge-Culver”) and the Laurelton Fire District
(“Laurelton”) have determined to consolidate into a single fire district, to be known as the
Irondequoit Fire District, pursuant to the New N.Y. Government Reorganization and Citizen
Empowerment Act; and
WHEREAS, Ridge-Culver and Laurelton have endorsed a proposed joint consolidation
agreement, and the effective date of the proposed joint consolidation agreement is May 16, 2022;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed joint consolidation agreement was heard at a public hearing on May
5, 2022, at Ridge-Culver’s fire station, and the public approved the proposed joint consolidation
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board must appoint the initial five commissioners and a single treasurer
of the newly formed Irondequoit Fire District; and
WHEREAS, the Boards of Fire Commissioners of Ridge-Culver and Laurelton have determined
that, to ensure continuity, the Board of Fire Commissioners for the Irondequoit Fire District
should be made up of fire commissioners presently serving as fire commissioners for the
component fire districts, and they have agreed among themselves who among them should
serve as the initial slate of fire commissioners and treasurer for the Irondequoit Fire District;
and
WHEREAS, the Town Board agrees with the fire districts’ determination, and wishes to appoint
the persons so identified as the initial five commissioners and treasurer of the Irondequoit Fire
District; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a Resolution adopted April 26, 2022, the Town Board authorized the
Supervisor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Ridge-Culver and Laurelton
concerning the appointments of the initial five commissioners and treasurer of the Irondequoit
Fire District.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, pursuant to Town Law Section 174(1), the
Town Board appoints the following individuals to serve as the initial five fire district
Commissioners and Treasurer for the Irondequoit Fire District:

AND, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each Fire District Commissioner
and the Treasurer shall before entering upon the duties of office take the constitutional oath of
office. Such oath shall be filed with the Town Clerk.
AND, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Treasurer of the Irondequoit Fire
District shall, before entering upon the duties of her office, execute and file with the Town Clerk
an official undertaking, conditioned for the faithful performance of her duties and she will truly
keep, pay over and account for all moneys of the Irondequoit Fire District.
AND, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Town Clerk shall
immediately notify the appointees of their appointment and of the time and place for the
organization meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Irondequoit Fire District, which
such meeting shall be held at noon on May 16, 2022, at Ridge-Culver Fire Station, 2960 Culver
Road, Rochester, NY 14622.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
