The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide you details regarding the memorial
service that will be held for Police Chief Miguel De La Rosa.
A public viewing will begin at 9:45 am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church located at 4497 West 1st Avenue in Hialeah. A funeral mass
will then commence at 11:00 am through 12:30 pm with interment following the mass at
Vista Memorial Gardens at 14200 NW 57th Ave in Miami Lakes.
In order to facilitate Village residents, officials, and staff in attending, a bus service has been
chartered to depart no later than 9:00 am from Village Hall to the services. The return trip
is anticipated at around 1:30 pm.
Additionally, in anticipation of high staff attendance at the services, Village Hall will be
minimally staffed. Neighboring jurisdictions will assist with police services.
