Bal Harbour Police Department that I requested in order to enhance the flow of

Weekly Code Enforcement Efforts
The code enforcement unit issued one violation and five warnings within the gated community this week. The violation
was issued to a residential property that failed to correct appearance issues after having been previously warned.
There was a warning given to a residence for an appearance issue involving an unfinished roofing project. The second
warning was issued to a property with a damaged fence. The remaining three warnings were issued to properties for
matters involving bulk waste and landscaping

The Bal Harbour police investigations unit conducted follow-up investigations on several pending theft and fraud
investigations.

AOA/ Sunny Isles Beach Police
169 Street & Collins Avenue
Comments:
Bal Harbour officers received a request from Sunny Isles Beach police to assist in a traffic investigation of a suspected
impaired driver. A Bal Harbour DUI certified officer arrived and conducted Field Sobriety exercises on the driver. The
driver was subsequently arrested by Sunny Isles Beach police and transported to jail.

Bomb Threat
St. Regis Hotel
Comments:
St. Regis security personnel contacted Bal Harbour police after receiving a call from an unregistered number. The
unidentified caller threatened to detonate a bomb at the hotel. Bal Harbour officers arrived and coordinated a sweep of
the property with hotel personnel. After an extensive check of the hotel property, no suspicious activity or items were
discovered. Bal Harbour officers conducted mandatory security checks on the property for the remainder of the
evening.

COMMENTS
Bal Harbour officers responded to 9500 Collins Avenue after receiving a request for emergency assistance from a
Surfside officer. When the Bal Harbour officers arrived, Surfside officers were restraining an individual who was
suffering from mental illness. The individual was subsequently Baker Acted by Surfside police.
