HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 2/21/2005 The Wellsburg City Council met in Special Session February 21, 2005 with Mayor Fox presiding and Councilmen Lindaman, Meints, Nielsen and Van Heiden present. Absent James.
The Mayor declared the public hearing on the proposed USDA Grant application for the purchase of a skid unit for the grass fire rig. Being there were no oral or written objections
the Mayor declared the public hearing closed. Clerk will proceed with the application process.
Motion by Lindaman second by Nielsen to approve the FY 2006 Budget. All ayes, carried.
Discussion of the report from the structural engineer regarding the OHS Building. Present were Kathie Akkerman, Greg Riebkes, Todd Rempe, Sheryl Harms, Pam Hook, and Lillian Eiten
representing the Library Board. At the present time we need to check for asbestos in the building and set up a committee to move forward on the project. Committee will consist of
2 councilmen, 2 library board trustees and 2 citizens.
Motion to adjourn Nielsen second by Van Heiden. All ayes, carried.
