The violation was issued to a residential property that failed to correct appearance issues after having been previously warned. The warning was issued to the owner of a dog who was found running at large. The dog, which has been found running at large on previous occasions, was returned to the owner. The final warning was issued to the Bal Bridge North property after they left bulk waste out several days prior to the scheduled pick-up day. Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report Comments: After several months of extensive investigative follow-up and interviews, the Bal Harbour police investigations unit have identified several perpetrators in an active auto theft and fraud investigation. The investigators will be securing multiple arrest warrants from the Miami -Dade State Attorney's Office for the perpetrators' arrests. Noteworthy Incidents / Arrests Incident Type 02/01/2018 Disabled Boat Location 10295 Collins Avenue (Beachside) Comments: Bal Harbour officers were alerted to a disabled boat near the shoreline behind the Ritz -Carlton, officers arrived and located the boat and the captain. After a brief inquiry, the captain advised the officers he had ran out of fuel. The captain made arrangements to have the boat refueled and safely navigated into the waterways. No injuries or damages were reported. 02/01/2018 Burglary /Auto 9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour Shops Comments: Bal Harbour police were summoned to the Bal Harbour Shops parking garage regarding a vehicle burglary. The officers were directed by BHS security to a vehicle with a shattered window. The vehicle owner was located and advised officers they recently purchased several items from Aventura Mall. Officers determined that an unknown person burglarized the vehicle and removed the items from the interior compartment of the car. Bal Harbour detectives will be conducting a follow-up investigation. 3 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT Weekly Summary Report Date Incident Type 1 Location 02/02/2018 Criminal Mischief 10175 Collins Avenue COMMENTS Bal Harbour police received a complaint of an unknown person(s) throwing eggs onto the property of the Tiffany condominiums. The reporter suspects the person launching the eggs possibly resides in the adjacent building. Bal Harbor officers canvased the area for surveillance cameras but were unable to locate any that may have captured the incident. Officers will increase security checks at the property and surrounding areas. No injuries or damages were reported. 02/03/2018 Injury 400 96th Street COMMENTS Bal Harbour police received a report of an individual that fell on the sidewalk and sustained minor injuries. The victim was treated on scene by Miami -Dade Fire Rescue and released. The injured person said the fall was caused by the uneven sidewalk. Photos of the sidewalk were taken and forwarded to Parks & Public Spaces. Incident Type Location 02/06/2018 AOA/Bay Harbor Island Police 9740 Bay Harbor Terrace COMMENTS Bal Harbour police were requested by Bay Harbor Islands police to assist in establishing a perimeter for an armed robbery subject. Bal Harbour officers responded and held designated perimeter positions until the subject was apprehended and placed under arrest. Completed by: Captain Raleigh Flowers Date: February 08, 2018 4
