“Third Thursdays on Tybee” Continues
Tybee Island, GA – (April 13, 2010) The Third Thursdays on Tybee Grassroots Art Program continues Thursday, April 15
from 5:00PM – 6:00PM at the Tybrisa/Strand Roundabout near the Walter W. Parker Pier & Pavilion. This final
performance for the spring Third Thursdays on Tybee series focuses o n the musical talents of youth.
Tybee teenager, Lacey Caldwell, will share her award winning vocal talents with those joining the musical celebration.
Lacey is active in choirs at Savannah Arts Academy. Her musical talent has taken her to District Honors and All State
Choir as well as performing at Disney World and Tybee’s Pirate Festival in 2009. Enjoy Tax Day this year with this free
musical performance while strolling around Tybrisa and The Strand on the Southern portion of the Business Corridor.
This music series provides free family-friendly outdoor music. Residents, merchants and guests are all encouraged to
take advantage of these one-set, one hour concerts while enjoying the shops, restaurants and outdoors during the late
afternoons.
These concerts are made possible by funding provided through the City of Tybee Island’s Better Hometown Initiative, the
2009/2010 Grassroots Arts Program grant, area organizations, private donations and many local businesses. A portion of
the Better Hometown Initiative’s mission is to “support and encourage the arts as a cultural endeavor and economic
engine on the Island.” With assistance from a variety of sources, Third Thursdays on Tybee will promote awareness of
Tybee Island as an inviting and thriving arts community. For more information, visit
