RESPECT THERETO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
ORDAIN:

be derived from such studies, and would be contrary to the
best interest and general welfare of the residents of this
City.

the recommendations of the Planning Department and the
Planning Commission, and pursuant to the provisions of
Section 65858 of the Government Code, a moratorium is hereby
imposed upon the construction of buildings or structures
in the aforesaid area of the City of Temple City; and any
and all provisions of the Temple City Municipal Code
authorizing such construction are hereby suspended during
the term of this Ordinance. The aforesaid area as used
herein shall mean all of that territory contained within
the boundaries of that certain map on f i- le in the office of the

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall remain in effect
for 120 days, and the Building Official of this City is
directed not to issue any building or occupancy permits
for a building or structure in the aforesaid area during
the term of this Ordinance. There shall be excepted
from this Ordinance any permit involving maintenance
or rehabilitation of existing buildings or structures,
which does not result in an expansion thereof.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become immediately
effective pursuant to the provisions of Section 65858 of
the Government Code and for the reasons above stated, and
