AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING .THE CITY OF
RICHMOND TO RECEIVE PAYMENTS FOR SERVICES TO BE RENDERED TO
RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT IN 1993
WHEREAS Richmond Power & Light is a municipally -owned utility controlled by a Board
consisting of the members of the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, pursuant to Indiana Code 8-1.5-3-3(a)(2), and
WHEREAS the Board has general supervisory powers over the utility with responsibility for the
detailed supervision vested_ in its Superintendent pursuant to Indiana Code 8-1.5-3-
4, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to obtain personal services from certain executive departments of the
City of Richmond even though Richmond Power & Light is not an executive
department of said City,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the following payments be made by Richmond Power & Light to the City General Fund during
1993 for financial, accounting, legal and technical services, to wit:
1. Ten percent of the following fees:
A. Legal services contractual $120,000.00
B . Insurance services contractual _ 6,000.00
$126,000.00 - $12,600.00
2. Ten percent of the following salaries:

28,000.00
C.
Legal Secretary
17,673.00
D.
Public Works Director
45,000.00
E.
Public Works Secretary
18,048.00
F.
City Controller
37,000.00

Building inspector A
25,171.00

$232,637.00 - $23,264.00
3. Ten percent of the benefits and employer taxes related to
said salaries which is determined to be twenty-four
percent of $232,637.00 or_$55,833.00 - _$5.583.00
4. Total payment to be received $41,447.00
Passed and adopted thisday of September, 1992 by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
