Subject: Special Recognition Award for Bal Harbour Police Department
Employee, Pamela Flanders
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you that Ms. Pamela Flanders, Police
Patrol Administrator was the recipient of the 2018 LEO Support Services Award. Ms.
Flanders was nominated for this prestigious award by the police department's staff for her
dedication and unwavering commitment to our police department and Village. The
nominees for this award were from various federal, state and local law enforcement
agencies throughout Miami -Dade County. The LEO Award selection committee reviews
all nominations from categories ranging from Uniform Patrol, Investigative Services,
Community Policing and Support Services and selects the top 3 finalist for each category.
On Saturday, March 4, 2018, the winner of the awards were announced at the annual black
tie awards gala. On that evening, Ms. Flanders was honored and presented with a beautiful
statue of a Leo Lion, symbolic of her selection as the 2018 LEO Support Services Award.
Congratulations to Ms. Flanders on this well -deserved award.
