HomeMy Public PortalAbout070-1992- ZONING - 3282 CHESTER BOULEVARDORDINANCE NO. 70-1992 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 3282 CHESTER BOULEVARD WHEREAS the zoning map designates a part of the southeast quarter of section 17, township 14 north, range 1 west, located at 3282 Chester Boulevard as C-2 Commercial District, and WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to C-4 General Business District to expand an automobile sales lot adjacent to the above described real estate, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the zoning designation of the following described real estate be and is hereby changed to C-4 General Business District to -wit: Part of the southeast quarter of section 17, township 14 north, range 1 west, beginning in the east line of said quarter section 320.57 feet north of a brass plug set by the Indiana State Highway Department and assumed to be the southeast corner of said southeast quarter; thence north 223.56 feet; thence west 744.50 feet; thence south 384.72 feet; thence east 480.5 feet; thence north 170 feet; thence east 264 feet to the Roint of beginning. Requesting to expand their 0-4 General Business District Zoning onto their adjacent 5 plus acres to permit the expansion of their automobile business. All adjacent property owners were notified of the hearing with none in opposition to the request and one indicating they are in favor of the request. The Planning Commission determined that the request was consistent with the Comprehensive Plans for that area and voted unanimously 8 to 0 to recommend passage of this Ordinance by Council.
