A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AT 2121 EAST
MAIN STREET
WHEREAS the zoning map designates lot 6 in Nathan Druley's Addition to Linden Hill, now a
part of the City of Richmond, located at 2121 East Main Street as R-3 One to Eight
Family Residence District, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to R-3 One to Eight Family
Residence Special Use District to permit the location of a business office,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the zoning designation of the real estate described below be and is hereby changed to R-3 One
to Eight Family Residence Special Use District to permit the location of a business office as
provided in Article 22.01.2 of the Zoning Ordinance and in accordance with the provisions of
Article 48 thereof, to wit:
Lot number 6 in Nathan Drniley's Addition to Linden Hill, now a part of the City of
Richmond,
Be it further ordained that the site plan and conditions of approval attached thereto in attached
Exhibit A are made a part hereof.
Passed and adopted this day of December, 1992, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.

Dear Mr.Elstro, Members of Common Council and
Mrs. Carnes:
The Richmond Advisory Plan Commission conducted a public hearing on
Tuesday, November 24,1992 on the petition of Brian and Christine Jones,
owner; Mark E. Mader, agent; requesting a Special Use District on property
located at 2121 E. Main Street.
John Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald Advertising, Inc., (pending buyer) presented a
written request to withdraw the petition as the owners had reneged on
their agreement to sell the property to Fitzgerald Advertising. The
purpose of the Special Use was to enable Fitzgerald Advertising to use the
property for administrative offices.
The Plan Commission voted eight (8) in favor, none (0) opposed, to
recommend to City Council that the ordinance be stricken.
