A GENERAL ORDINANCE SPECIFYING COUNCILMANIC DISTRICTS FOR
THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
WHEREAS Indiana Code 36-4-6-3 requires all second class cities to adopt revised councilmanic
districts, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to adopt districts with as little variation as possible in population size
that are reasonably compact,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that councilmanic districts are designated as follows:
Council District One - Voting Precincts 4, 5, 19, 26 and 27.
Council District Two - Voting Precincts 7, 8, 10 and17.
Council District Three - Voting Precincts 6, 11, 15, and 25.
Council District Four - Voting Precincts 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 30 and 32.
Council District Five - Voting Precincts 9, 18, 28, 29 and that portion of
Precinct 22 north of the center line of Richmond Avenue.
Council District Six - Voting Precincts 16, 20, 21, 31, 33 and that portion of
Precinct 22 south of the center line of Richmond
Avenue. '1
