A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 76-1992
WHEREAS two additional prefatory clauses are desirable for purposes of presentation of
Richmond Power & Light's petition seeking approval of a new schedule of electric
rates and charges, which petition is docketed as Cause No. 39465 by the Indiana
Utility Regulatory Commission, .
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained that Ordinance No. 76-1992 is hereby amended by adding the
following prefatory clauses, to wit:
WHEREAS the proposed rates and charges attached hereto as Exhibit "A" are designed so that
they are nondiscriminatory, "reasonable and just rates and charges" for services
within the meaning of IC 8-1.5-3-8 and follow more closely cost of service by
customer class; and
WHEREAS the proposed rates and charges attached hereto as Exhibit "A" reflect therein the
election of the Common Council to include in such rates and charges each of the
elements of "reasonable and just rates and charges" under IC 8-1.5-3-8, including a
reasonable return on plant of approximately 6.50%.
Passed and adopted this 2nd day of November, 1992, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
