RESOLUTION OF THE DIRECTORS OF THE MIDPENINSULA
REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT IN SUPPORT OF PROPOSED
ORDINANCE OF COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA RELATING TO
A CITY SERVICES COMBINING ZONE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara
County has initiated the adoption of a new zone district by the
amendment of certain sections of the Zoning Ordinance of Santa
Clara County relating to a City Services Combining Zoning
District, and has referred the ordinance to the Planning Commis-
sion for study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the Midpeninsula Regional Park District is
greatly interested in measures that would assure careful con-
sideration by the County and its Cities of proposed developments
within and on the periphery of designated urban service areas,
particularly as they affect the conversion of open space,
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT DOES RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. That the Board does hereby approve the
draft proposal which would amend certain sections of the Zoning
Ordinance of Santa Clara County relating to a City Services
Combining Zoning District, and urges the Planning Commission and
the Board of Supervisors to adopt such amendment substantially
as drafted.
Section 2. The General Manager of the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District is directed to forward copies of this
Resolution to members of the Planning Commission and Board of
Supervisors with an appropriate accompanying letter.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of
the Midpeninsula Regional Park District on June 13, 1973, at a
regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
