The first warning was issued to a contractor which was discovered conducting lawn service work after hours within the gated community. The second warning was issued to the Avondale property after their maintenance personnel was discovered beginning work prior to the allowable hours. Additionally, the code officers have been assisting with the traffic detail at the Harbour Way intersection. Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report Comments: The Criminal Investigation Division conducted a follow-up investigation regarding the theft of an ATV from the St. Regis parking garage. Detectives located surveillance footage that captured the subject as he entered and exited the parking garage. The detectives immediately broadcasted a description of the subject and disseminated an informational flyer to the neighboring jurisdiction. The ATV was subsequently located abandon in Sunny Isle Beach. The detectives are actively pursuing investigative leads. Noteworthy Incidents I Arrests Date incident Type Location 05/20/2018 Electrical Room Fire 10205 Collins Avenue, Kenilworth COMMENTS Bal Harbour police officers along with Miami -Dade Fire responded to the Kenilworth property regarding a fire to the electrical room. Miami -Dade Fire personnel were able to quickly contain the fire which was located in the main electrical panel. FPL also responded and was able to stabilize the issue in the electrical box which services four different properties. The residents of the building did not need to evacuate and there were no injuries associated with this incident. However, the fire did cause a disruption to the power for the traffic signals located at Harbour Way and Collins Avenue. Officers have been assisting with the traffic flow and FPL continues efforts to restore the electrical service to the traffic signals. 3 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT Acting Chief Raleigh Flowers, Jr. Weekly Summary Report Week of Friday, May 18 — May 24, 2018 Date Incident Type Location 05/21/2018 Theft 9701 Collins Avenue, St. Regis Hotel COMMENTS St. Regis loss prevention personnel discovered that an unknown male entered the employee parking garage and removed a John Deere Gator. Surveillance footage captured the subject as he entered and exited the loading dock. Officers conducted an extensive area canvass but were unable to locate the ATV. The ATV was subsequently located abandoned in Sunny Isles Beach. The Bal Harbour Criminal Investigations detectives will conduct a follow-up investigation. Date Incident Type Location 05/24/2018 Auto Burglary 10200 Block Collins Avenue North Municipal Parking Lot COMMENTS Bal Harbour police were summoned to the North Municipal Lot regarding a vehicle burglary, the owner of the vehicle told the officers when he returned to his vehicle he discovered damage to the driver's side door. Further inspection revealed the vehicle's interior had been ransacked and the owner's wallet was missing. The Bal Harbour Criminal Investigation Division will conduct a follow-up investigation.
