The warning was issued to a property in the gated community which was attempting to have furniture delivered on a Sunday. The violation was issued to a unit within the Plaza property after workers were discovered conducting unpermitted work. Criminal Investigations Division Weekly Summary Report Comments: In an effort to pursue criminal prosecution in an active fraud investigation, the Criminal Investigations Detectives met with the Miami -Dade County State Attorney Fraud Division to review the case file and request criminal subpoenas. Additionally, the detectives assisted with the scheduling of the orientation training for the new police employees. Noteworthy Incidents / Arrests Date 1 Incident Type Location 06/08/2018 Suspicious Incident Bal Bridge North COMMENTS Bal Harbour police were summoned to the Bal Bridge North apartment complex regarding a suspicious incident. When the officers arrived, the complainant advised the officers she discovered a female who purported to be a realtor inside her apartment taking pictures. The complainant, who is also the owner of the apartment, advised the officers the alleged realtor produced a signed listing agreement and told her the pictures were for the owner of the apartment. The complainant said she instructed the female to leave the apartment and later called the police. Officers on scene attempted to locate the female, however she left the property prior to police arrival. Bal Harbour Criminal Investigations detectives will conduct a follow-up investigation. Date Incident Type Location 06/11/2018 Domestic Battery 60 Park Drive COMMENTS Bal Harbour officers were summoned to the police station to meet a victim of an alleged domestic battery. The victim told the officers her live in boyfriend grabbed and pushed her into the shower. During the altercation, the boyfriend repeatedly threaten to harm her and her unborn child. Officers attempted to locate the boyfriend at the apartment, however, due to the time delay, he had collected his personal belongings and left prior to the officers' arrival. Kent security was instructed to restrict the boyfriend's access to the residential district. The victim was provided with domestic violence victim information and a security watch order was placed on her residence. The Criminal Investigation Division will conduct a follow-up investigation. 3 BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT Acting Chief Raleigh Flowers, Jr. Weekly Summary Report Week of Friday, June 08 — June 14, 2018 Date ,2 % ,/,/,... a` 06/13/2018 Unsecured Residence/Construction Site 157 Bal Cross Drive COMMENTS While conducting an area check of the residential security district. A Bal Harbour police officer discovered an open door to a residence under construction. The officer checked the property and no signs of criminal activity were discovered. The door was secured and a security check was issued for the remainder of the shift. Date Incident Type , Location 06/14/2018 Arrest / Possession of Cannabis 10200 Collins Avenue COMMENTS A Bal Harbour police officer observed a disturbance between two motorists on the frontage road of Collins Avenue. As the officer approached the vehicles to investigate the disturbance, he observed a clear bag with cannabis on the center console of one of the vehicles. The driver of that vehicle was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested and transported to Miami Dade County Jail. Date Incident Type Location 06/14/2018 Warrant Arrest 9910 Collins Avenue COMMENTS While patrolling the Collins Avenue corridor, a Bal Harbour officer observed a female laying on the lawn in front of the Tahoma apartments. The officer approached the female and inquired if she needed medical attention. The female told the officer she was homeless and was resting on the lawn. A routine criminal history check revealed an active warrant for Resisting Arrest and Trespass After Warning. The female was arrested and transported to jail.
