Beach Jogging Path Restoration Project to Start on Monday, July 9,

The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you information regarding the
Beach Jogging Path Restoration Project which was approved at the May 15, 2018 Bal
Harbour Village Council meeting.
In order to restore the Beach Jogging Path to its intended design criteria, the existing path
will be graded to remove the excess mixed sands and new coquina sand installed to
provide the appropriate finish walking surface.
The Project is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 8:30 am. This work will
be performed by the Village contracted service provider, Quality Construction
Performance, Inc. The project area starts on the jogging path adjacent to the Balmoral
Condominium and continues north to the end of the project limits. The work area will be
cordoned off and work vehicles will be escorted by Village Staff. The project is estimated
to be completed within 30 days from the start date.
Additionally, once restored, the jogging path will receive raking three (3) times weekly,
utilizing in-house staff and the small sand raking machine previously purchased for this
work.
