A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR UPDATES TO THE
WATER ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE: LATE FEES, NSF FEES AND
DISCONNECT /RECONNECT FEES
Whereas, The City has examined and determined that the current Water Ordinance is
insufficient with regards to specifically stating the charges for late fees, NSF fees and
disconnect/reconnect fees, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that there needs to be fees
accessed in order to assist with compensation for the extra workload places upon city
staff for these services;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to have a
public hearing on November 28, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Springmier Library in the CCA
Middle School for the above noted fees.
On the 14th day of November, 2012, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2012 -72, A RESOLUTION
SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR UPDATES TO THE WATER
ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE: LATE FEES, NSF FEES AND
DISCONNECT /RECONNECT FEES and made a motion for approval. Motion
seconded by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Bartels, Upton
Nays: Phillips
Absent: none
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2012 -72, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING FOR UPDATES TO THE WATER ORDINANCE TO INCLUDE:
LATE FEES, NSF FEES AND DISCONNECT /RECONNECT FEES to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 14th day of November, 2012.
