a) Seeking a motion to open a Public Hearing regarding an annexation agreement and
annexation of property located at Route 30 and Spangler Road.
b) Seeking a motion to close the Public Hearing and return to the regular business
meeting.
c) Seeking Board consideration of a motion to direct the Village Attorney to draft the
necessary ordinances approving the annexation agreement and annexation for the
property located at Route 30 and Spangler Road.
3) BOULEVARD ANNEXATION (Case #1693-073115.AA)
a) Seeking a motion to open a Public Hearing regarding annexing property located at
Route 30 and I-55.
b) Seeking a motion to close the Public Hearing and return to the regular business

F) WORKSHOP
1) METRONET
Representatives from Metronet will give a presentation on bringing fiber optic lines to the
community.
2) SALAMIE
Seeking Village Board input on a proposed concept for 306 apartments and 67 single-family
lots on approximately 65 acres located on Van Dyke Road, north of 127th Street and east of
248th Street.
3) SPECIAL USES (ZONING ORDINANCE)
Staff is looking for input from the Village Board on changing some of the current permitted
uses in the B-1 and B-3 Commercial districts to Special Uses. Recently, Plainfield has
witnessed a proliferation of certain types of commercial businesses along our commercial
corridors and there has been some expressed concern whether these types of businesses are
consistent with the character of Plainfield.
G) EXECUTIVE SESSION
Seeking a motion to adjourn to Executive Session as permitted under the Open Meetings Act under
Section 2 (c) (6) to discuss the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public
body, not to reconvene.
