The check was for fees owed for building permit 06-0139, 5 Kingry Street, Tybee Island, Georgia. The check, drawn upon and payable to the City of Tybee Island, was dishonored. Pursuant to Georgia Law you have ten (10) days from receipt of this notice to tender payment of the total amount of the check, plus the applicable service charge of $32.00 or five (5) percent of the face amount of the check, whichever is greater. The total amount due is $122.00. Do not submit a Personal Check as payment. Instead, mail to City Hall either a Money Order or a Cashier's Check, made payable to the City of Tybee Island. Payment at City Hall using Cash, Money Order or a Cashier's Check is also acceptable, Business hours at City Hall are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Credit card payments are also accepted by phone at 912-786-4573, extension 102. Unless this amount is paid in full within the specified time a presumption in law arises that you delivered the item with the intent to defraud. The dishonored check and all other available information relating to the incident will be submitted to the Tybee Island Police Department for the issuance of a criminal warrant for your arrest. Section 5-4-9 Prohibition provides, in part, as follows: (4.) It is unlawful for any person to cause or permit any storm water to flow from their property onto the property of another person, unless such storm water naturally flowed thereon prior to any development activity. (5.) It is unlawful for any person to interrupt the flow of any storm water runoff from adjacent property onto their property by any development activity. As part of the City's approval process applicants must illustrate how these storm water management prohibitions will be met, including a showing of how storm water naturally flowed on the affected property (prior to any development activity), and what changes in storm water flow have occurred or are expected to occur, as attachments to this form. The City's approval or permit does not guarantee that the applicant's plans will result in meeting requirements. The final product must actually meet the City Ordinance requirements.
