C) PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS D) TRUSTEES COMMENTS E) PUBLIC COMMENTS (3-5 minutes) F) WORKSHOP 1) SITE PLAN REVIEW ORDINANCE Staff is looking for input from the Village Board on a new and streamlined Site Plan Review Ordinance for Commercial, Office, Industrial, Multi-Family, Civic, and Townhome development in the Village of Plainfield. A set of new commercial landscape standards has been incorporated into this document along with pictures and illustrations that reflect the quality of development that the Village Board has approved over the past years. 2) SIGN ORDINANCE Staff is looking for input from the Village Board on a revised Sign Ordinance that attempts to simplify and streamline the current ordinance and regulations. A more simple ordinance has been prepared to provide a more user friendly document, while removing regulations that have proven to be redundant or contrary to the current trend of development. Staff has attempted to balance for the need of more commercial signage with maintaining the quality of commercial development in the Village. 3) BUSINESS PLAN Staff is looking for input from the Village Board on a revised “Business Plan” for the Village of Plainfield. As part of the Village’s commitment to maintaining an excellent business environment, staff has created a new “Economic Incentive Policy” and a new framework for “Impact Fees” in the Village. Both of these new initiatives are intended to enhance the Village’s economic development efforts with commercial and industrial users.
