HomeMy Public PortalAbout1994-48 Beach renourishment programs; Sandra Goldstein appointedRESOLUTION NO. 94-48 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA APPOINTING SANDRA GOLDSTEIN AS VILLAGE RESOURCE VOLUNTEER TO COMPILE AND UPDATE THE COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO INFORMATION RELATING TO BEACH RENOURISHMENT, BEACH RENOURISHMENT PROGRAMS AND BEACH RENOURISHMENT FINANCING AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, this Council has a deep interest in preserving and renourishing the beaches within the Village; and WHEREAS, Dr. Elliot Tyler previously served as a resource to the Village and Key Biscayne relating to beach renourishment projects; and WHEREAS, because of Dr. Tyler's failing health, a void has been created with respect to beach renourishment issues; and WHEREAS, Sandra Goldstein has exhibited a willingness and ability to provide the Village with necessary information relating to beach renourishment matters; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Sandra Goldstein is hereby appointed as Village Resource Volunteer with the duty to provide to the Village government necessary information, data and financing information pertaining to beach renourishment. Section 2. That Sandra Goldstein shall report to the Village Council on a quarterly or more frequent basis as necessary relating to her activities. Section 3. The Village Manager is hereby directed to provide Sandra Goldstein with any clerical backup necessary for her to perform her duties. Section 4. Sandra Goldstein shall serve as an unpaid volunteer for the Village but may be reimbursed by the Village for expenses incurred, with prior approval of the Village Council. Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of December , 1994. �3. OR JOHN F. FESTA GUIDO H.
