AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, It has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund
appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne
County, Indiana;
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums
of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several
appropriations, herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to
the laws governing the same:
GENERAL FUND -POLICE DEPT.
2000-Supplies

$ 14,000. $14,000.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have
unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which
appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations
be reduced in the following amounts.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana.

RB: Merit Commission Budget
Dear Chief RiceF
I have informed the City Controller, Marge Sweet, that our
Budget is greater than what we will require for the year. I have
discussed.this with you prior to this contact.
The $15,000 that was in the budget for a possible off-year test
will not be necessary, nor will the $480 classroom rental be needed
due to no testing. We also budgeted $3,000 for advertising in
state newspapers for bids for Merit Commission testing services
that will not be used since we decided on Personnel Services, Inc.,
(Steve McVey)
Please inform the City Administration that the total mentioned
above -- $18,480, may be removed from our budget and be used as
they wish.
