AN ORDINANCE DECLARING INTENTION TO ANNEX
LANDS OF ASHBOURNE REAL'T'Y AND LAND DEVELOP -
MENT COMPANY, PAUL S. AND JOSEPHINE P. KNOWLES,
ESTATE W J. GORDON KING, JANE D. KING, EXECU-
TRIX, JOHN W. AND ALTA L. ELLIOTT, AND ALFRED A.
AND MY LE A. STICKLER, TO THE TOWN OF GULF STREAl,I.
WHEREAS, Ashbourne Realty and Land Development Company,
Paul S. and Josephine P. Knowles, Estate of J. Gordon King, Jane
D. King, Executrix, John W. and Alta L. Elliott, and Alfred A.
and Myrtle A. Stickler have by written instrument requested
that their properties, lying and being in Palm Beach County,
Florida, and within the boundaries of land described as follows:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Lot C of REVISED PLAT
BLOCK D and BLOCK E, PALM BEACH SHORE ACRES, as recorded
in Plat Book 7, at page 38, Public Records of Palm Beach
County, Florida; thence in a Southerly direction along
the West Right -of -Way Line of Andrews Avenue, as now
constructed and in use a distance of 89.40 feet; thence
Westerly and parallel to the Westerly extension of the
South line of said Lot C a distance of 133.00 feet; thence
in a Southerly direction and parallel to the West Right -of-
Way line of Andrews Avenue a distance of 81 feet; thence
in a Westerly direction parallel to and 170.5 feet South of
the Westerly extension of the said South line of Lot C, a
distance of 880.0 feet more or less to the centerline of
the Intracoastal Waterway, as now constructed and in use;
thence in a Northerly direction along the said center line
a distance of 172 feet more or less to the intersection of
the Westerly extension of the South line of Lot C; thence
in an Easterly direction along said Westerly extension of
the South line of Lot C, a distance of 988.0 feet more or
less to the Southwest corner of said Lot CP
be annexed to the Town; and
WHEREAS, said land is contiguous to the town limits
and contains less than ten registered voters, and Section 171.04
Florida Statutes 1961, permits annexation of contiguous terri-
tory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION
OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREATYI, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Town of Gulf Stream does hereby declare its
intention to annex the aforedescribed land to the Town of Gulf
Stream at the expiration of thirty days from the final passage
of this ordinance. Said land will be subject to town taxes
for the year 1962 and will be zoned "Residential A."
2. After final passage, this ordinance shall be
published in full, once a weeNor four consecutive weeks, in
Delray Beach News, a newspaper published in Palm Beach County,
Florida (there being no newspaper published in the Town of Gulf
Stream).
3. If no objection is filed and notice served as
required by said Section 171.04, an ordinance will be considered
to annex said land to the Town of Gulf Stream and to redefine
the boundary lines of the town so as to include therein the said
land.
