AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SUB- PARAGRAPH 18 OF SECTION 9202
OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO CONDITIONAL USES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Temple City
does hereby find, determine and declare:
(a) That the State Legislature, pursuant to Assembly
Bill 1856 of the 1972 Legislative Session has mandated the
hereinafter specified uses as residential uses within all
cities which uses must either be permitted or conditional
uses within all residential zones; and
(b) That the Temple City Municipal Code does not so
permit or conditionally permit such uses at the present; and
(c) That the public .interest, convenience and necessity
require the amendment to the Temple City Municipal Code as
hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 2. That Subparagraph 18 of Section 9202 of the Temple
City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
18. State - authorized, certified, or licensed family
care homes, foster homes, or group homes serving six or
fewer mentally disordered or otherwise handicapped persons
or dependent and neglected children, if such homes provide
care on a 24- hour -a -day basis (including all residential
zones).
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same
to be published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Temple City.

the City of Temple City, held on the 20th day of March , 1973,
and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular
meeting of the said City Council held on the 3rd day of
April , 1973, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Gilbertson, Merritt, Tyrell, Briggs
NOES: Councilmen —None
