The Council of the Village of Medina met in special session Tuesday evening,
February 20, 1968 at 7:33 P. M.

All members present.
Anne Dorweiler presented a map of the Independence Beach area showing changes
proposed in stmeet names, etc. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to give the Planning
Commission preliminary approval of the changes they made in the Independence
Beach area, subject to any reasonable changes proposed by the engineer or
Planning Commission.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter
Motion carried.
The meeting was then turned over to Raymond Bosch, Chief of Police. He read
a letter from Don Oomdt with regard to forming a riot team in co-operation
with surrounding villages.
Discussion with regard to police salaries and clothing allotment. Moved by
Arthur Theis to mites the part time police salaries from $2.25 to $2.50 an
hour and Sargent Eisinger's salary from $500.00 to $550.00 per month and
clothing allotment for part time police from $10.00 to $30.00 and for Sargent
Eisin.ger from $50.00 to $90.00.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.

Moved by Raymond Bosch that we have the Clerk'write a letter to the Hennepin
County Park Reserve proposing that we renew the Park police contract subject
to changes in the blanket coverage, and hourly wage, increasing the charge
for patrolling by patrol car or on foot from:1400.00 to $500.00 and hourly
wage for patrolman from $3.00 to $3.30 an hour, explaining that we are doing
this due to rising costs in the police department, and further that we wish
to discuss the need for a handy talkie radio able to contae* the sheriff's
radio tower, and also an adequate first aid equipment kit.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson.
Motion carried.
Vacation time was discussed. Eleven working days shall eonstituche two working
weeks at vacation time based on eight days on and two days off.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson that the meeting adjourn.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:40 P. M.
