HomeMy Public PortalAbout022-1990-ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY CERTAIN CONTIGOUS TERRIQ454 9�JU3zl As�tl 30 BOOK 16PAGE 182 WAYNE COUNTY RECORDER SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 22-1990 AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY ADJACENT AND ABUTTING THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND ASSIGNING SAID TERRITORY TO A COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA. WHEREAS, Mary Raper, et. al., being the owner's of record of a certain parcel of land, all being within the hereinafter described area, have petitioned the Common Council of the City of Richmond, for the voluntary annexation of said hereinafter described area as set out, and in accordance with IC-36-4-3-5; and, WHEREAS, the petitioners own one hundred percent (100%) of the land sought to be annexed; and, WHEREAS, the land to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent to the present boundary of the City of Richmond, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Common Council the, at which time, comments where heard from parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. That the following described territory, adjacent to the corporate boundaries of the City of Richmond, Indiana, be annexed to and hereby is declared to be a part of the said City of Richmond, Indiana; said territory being located in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana and being more particularly described as follows: Situate in the northest quarter of Section 10, Township 13 North, Range 1 West, Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Hunter's Pointe, Section Three as recorded in Plat Book 15, page189 of the Wayne County Plat Records; thence with the south line of said Hunter's Pointe, Section Three, South 89 degrees 29 minutes 57 seconds east for 907.00 feet to a point; thence continuing with the south line of said Hunter's Pointe, Section Three, North 64 degrees 12 minutes 15 seconds east for 229.76 feet to a point; thence South 0 degrees 30 minutes 03 seconds west for 881.79 feet to a point; thence North 89 degrees 29 minutes 57 seconds west for 1,112.98 feet to a point in the southerly extension of the east line of Henley Hills, Section Two as recorded in Plat Book 12, page 285 of the Wayne County Plat Records; thence with the said southerly extension of the east line of Henley Hills, Section Two and the east line of said Henley Hills, Section Two, North 0 degrees 30 minutes 03 seconds east for 780.00 feet to the point of beginning; containing 20.170 acres. Ordinance No. 22-1990 Page 2 SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as by law required. SECTION 3. That upon the effective date of the annexation of the territory described above, said territory shall be assigned to and become a part of Council District 4 in the City of Richmond, Indiana.
