AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
MAKING TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 76: TRAFFIC SCHEDULES OF THE
THE RICHMOND CITY CODE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne
County, Indiana that the following amendments be made to Chapter 76: Traffic Schedules of the
Richmond City Code:
1. By amending Schedule III Through Streets by deleting:
North E Street from North 8th Street 1781-1960
to North 24th Street

Ordinance No. 29-1990 is in reference to the petition of the residents of the area of Grand Boulevard
and North 22nd Street requesting a 4-way stop and presented to the Board of Works by Councilmember
Hankinson. The Board does not have the authority to act on the petition since North E Street is set as a
through street by Ordinance of the Common Council. Since other stop areas have been designated over
the years and North E Street is no longer a through street, this Ordinance is being presented to request
the Council to correct the code and allow the City Engineer as the proper authority to act on the petition
for the 4-way stop.
