A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF
$24,490 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSES OF
THE PREPARATION OF AN ARCHITECTURAL SITE PLAN FOR THE CITY'S USE OF
THREE LOTS (IDENTIFIED AS 07-FLA-105-22, 07-FLA-105-23, AND 07-FLA-105-24)
OWNED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AS A PUBLIC PARKING LOT
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
currently owns three (3) vacant parcels in the City of Lynwood under the 1-105 freeway
near Imperial Highway and Philadelphia Way. These parcels are identified as 07-FLA-
105-22, 07-FLA-105-23, and 07-FLA-105-24 (collectively referred hereinafter as the
"Site"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is interested in leasing the Site for use as a public
parking lot; and
WHEREAS, the Site provides the City of Lynwood with an opportunity to alleviate
the blighted area as well as provide a public parking lot for use by surrounding commercial
properties; and
WHEREAS, the City has already completed an Appraisal Report and a Phase I
Environmental Site Assessment for the Site; and
WHEREAS, the City now needs to complete an architectural site plan for use of
the Site as a public parking lot as part of the application process with Caltrans.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the use of $24,490 of unappropriated general
fund balance for the purpose of the preparation of an architectural site plan for use of the
Site as a public parking lot.
Section 2. The Fiscal Year 19-20 Budget is hereby amended by appropriating as follows:

Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee shall be authorized to carry out any
transactions necessitated in relation to the preparation of an architectural site plan.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and hereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
