Home My Public Portal About035-1990-ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE PROFESSIONAL NEGOTIATION AGREEORDINANCE NO. 35-19 AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE PROFESSIONAL NEGOTIATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION, LOCAL 1474 AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 44-1989 TO SET SALARIES FOR CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety through its negotiating team has negotiated with the representatives of the Amalgated Transit Union, Local 1474 representing drivers for the Rose View Transit of the City of Richmond, Indiana and in said negotiations have agreed to enter into Addendum No. One to the Professional Negotiation Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana has the authority to ratify such an agreement; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety and the Amalgated Transit Union, Local 14 74 have set their hands and seals the 3rd day of August, 1989, to Addendum No. One of the Professional Negotiation Agreement; and WHEREAS, such Addendum No. One of the Professional Negotiation Agreement has been approved by Mayor Frank H. Waltermann; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana desires to ratify such Addendum No. One to the Professional Negotiation Agreement and to incorporate such Addendum into this ordinance; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 44-1989 which set salaries for 1990 for certain appointed officers and employees of the City of Richmond needs to be amended to reflect salaries agreed to in such Addendum to the Professional Negotiation Agreement; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that: SECTION I. Addendum No. One to the Professional Negotiation Agreement previously entered into by the Union, and the City on the 3rd day of August, 1989, is hereby adopted by reference, ratified and incorporated into this ordinance. SECTION II. That Ordinance No. 44-1989 be amended to show that for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1990, and ending December 31, 1990, the following appointed officers and employees of the City of Richmond, Indiana shall receive the following salaries for the positions: Rose View Transit Drivers Classification Salary Number of Positions LTC IV $17,305.60 1 2 /�a PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this [____ day of , 1990. In the past few years the contract had been settled prior to salary time and the correct salaries were reflected in the salary ordinance. In 1989 negotiations were delayed until later in the summer due to Public Works Director having just been hired. The Council therefore needs to ratify the contract in order that the salary ordinance reflect the proper salaries for the bargaining unit members.
